Vulkanol® 85

Vulkanol® 85 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a good low temperature plasticizer, which offers the best resistance to volatilization at high temperature. It is particularly useful in those rubbers which alone have poor low temperature flexibility such as nitrile- and chloroprene rubber, often required to function at high temperature. It is suitable in applications subjected to a wide range of ambient temperatures such as hydraulic hose, automotive seals and hose. Recommended dosage level for NBR is 30 phr, for CR is 20 phr and for NR, SBR, IIR is 10 phr, based on 100 parts by weight of elastomer. Vulkanol® 85 has a shelf life of 2 years.
