SILMAPROCESS AV1910 by Silma is a processing aid, viscosity reducer, abrasion & mar resistance, anti-scratch, slipping agent, external lubricant, surface modifier and hydrophobicity improver. It prevents stress cracking phenomena of the surface of final goods. It is a high molecular weight functionalized polysiloxane masterbatch which reacts during the crosslinking process of a wide range of rubbers. It provides a real si-copolymer network as EVA-Si, NBR-Si, SBR-Si, EPDM-Si, TPV-Si, XLPE-Si (also Silane Crosslinked) and other elastomers cured by peroxide, sulfur and/or metal catalysts, if used during the crosslinking process. It reduces melt viscosity & torque with benefits for the output, stability and compound homogeneity when used in the compounding process. It can be used in extrusion, directly in injection molding, or calendering. During the cross-linking process, it gives rigid, flexible and/or foamed rubber, high durability, better cold resistance, insulation properties, flexibility and wear/fatigue resistance. It is applicable in shoe soles & profiles, cables, sheets, soft-touch ergonomic handles, conveyor belts and many other rubber artifacts to reduce the coefficient of friction. The recommended dosage level for network additive or polymer modifier is 2-20%, for EVA is 2-4% and for rubber is 3-6%. SILMAPROCESS AV1910 has a shelf life of one year.
