STORFLAM ZBA

Zinc borate. It acts as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant. Exhibits some gas phase activity in the presence of halogens and produces a boron-based char under fire conditions. Releases water endothermically. Antimony trioxide can be partially replaced and in turn provides cost savings, and in many instances, aspects of fire-performance improvement including smoke suppression. Offers synergistic flame retardant properties in the presence of halogens, antimony trioxide and hydrated fillers. Applications include flexible PVC for wiring compounds, plastisols, plasticized PVC, halogen-free cable compounds like Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, EPDM, Conveyor belting like neoprene/ SBR blend, neoprene, halogenated- and halogen-free glass reinforced polyester, epoxy, PVC- and latex carpet backing and general rubbers.
