SUKANO® Impact Modifier

SUKANO® Impact Modifier by Sukano is a masterbatch for cold, flash frozen and room temperature tray applications. It offers improved durability, toughness, enhanced impact- & shatter resistance and all without a loss in transparency. It can replace amorphous copolyester or GAG film structures & non-recyclable frozen food trays with PET mono-material structures and allows recyclability. It is suitable for plastics packaging to protect our personal health and to prevent the coronavirus from spreading further, combined with a collapse in oil prices, resulted in cheaper to produce virgin plastic. SUKANO® Impact Modifier enables the producers to include a higher dosage of RPET in the core layer of the end application while maintaining (or even improving) the cost base and film performance. It allows safe packaging and provides additional functionality as a cutting aid, improving die-cutting in production, speeding up the lines and avoiding any cross-contamination potential by splinters.
