Synsorb -3039 by Synchemer is an octocrilene, 2-ethylhexyl-2-cyano-3, 3-diphenylacrylate. It acts as a UV absorber available in pale yellow viscous liquid form. It can be absorbed at 303nm. It is suitable for systems comprised partly or entirely from liquid components. It is insensitive to metal ions and effective for a wide range of pH values. It shows compatibility with plasticized & plastisols PVC, and acrylic-, vinyl-, alkyd-, epoxy-, urea-formaldehyde resins. Synsorb -3039 is also compatible with cellulose nitrate, PUR systems and polymer dispersions.
