Acetyl tri-n-butyl citrate. It acts as a plasticizer in aqueous and solvent-based polymers like acrylic, methacrylic, ethylcellulose, hydroxymethyl cellulose, nitro cellulose, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylpyrrolidone vinylidene chloride and urethane polymer formulations. It is a low volatile compound that is colorless, transparent oily liquid and is soluble in most organic solvents. It is resistance to cold temperatures and light exposure as well as shows water resistance. It is also used in grain and produce food packaging materials, medical products, soft toys for children and used as a stabilizer of polyvinylidene chloride.
