ADINS® Clay 80T

Organomodified (silane) high purity ultrafine sepiolite. Acts as a flame retardant. It is a natural occurring needle-like silicate. It strongly boosts char formation during combustion and protects polymer from further fire propagation. Offers tailored performance benefits, improved processability, and reduced cost. Offers the advantages of an inorganic halogen-free technology which guarantees no additional toxic fume formation and minimal environmental impact. It improves the thermal and fire insulation properties of extruded polystyrene foams (XPS). It improves the cellular structure in XPS foams with lower cell size, higher cell density, lower open cell content, and higher cell size homogeneity. Used in wire and cable and electronics. Its typical dosage level is 1-5%.
