Dilauroyl peroxide. It acts as an initiator (radical source) for the high pressure polymerization of monomers e.g. vinylchloride in suspension. It appears as a white, milk-white, aqueous suspension which is de-sensitized with water and has a molecular weight of 398.6 g/mol. It is especially suitable for the manufacture of micro-S-PVC and is recommended with the combination of highly active per-esters and peroxydicarbonates.
