PUREstab 245 by Vyridis is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. It is a long-term stabilizer which protects organic substrates against thermo-oxidative degradation. It exhibits high resistance to extraction, good color stability, low volatility and very low oral toxicity. It is very effective when blended with PUREfos 168. It is also used as chain stopper during PVC polymerization. PUREstab 245 is used in styrene polymers, particularly impact modified polystyrenes, ABS, MBS, SB and SBR-latices as well as in POM homo- and copolymers. Other application for stabilization includes polyurethanes, polyamides, thermoplastic polyesters, PVC and other polymers.
