A high quality black colored pigment masterbatch containing effective substances in specially developed carrier system based on low density polyethylene. It contains a small particle size furnace carbon black. This product also contains a specific antioxidant/thermal stabilizer system intended to reduce gel formation during extrusion. It can be used in high quality silage stretch film using tackifiers such as PIB and requiring excellent dispersion quality and maximum resistance to UV degradation. It has been successfully used in film extrusion down to 20 micron thickness in single layer films (12 micron during subsequent stretching). It has also been used in 3 layer co-extrusion systems. The polymer carrier system has been formulated to give excellent dilution in LLDPE polymers without compromising processability. This product meets the new food contact regulation 2007/19/EC and is therefore suitable for any food contact application.
