Iriotec® 8835

Iriotec® 8835 by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany is a black colorant as well as a laser pigment for light marking in all kind of black polymers. It is mica (23-35%) coated with ferric oxide (65-77%).

It is stable in all polymers under normal processing conditions.
It is used for electronics and automotive industries.
Recommended dosage level is 0.4% in combination with 0.1% carbon black.
For black formulations, it is critical to have the carbon black amount below 0.2% for good marking results.
