Irgastab® IS 8201

Irgastab® IS 8201 by BASF is a low volatile, efficient & versatile, light stabilizer. This high-performance stabilization solution offers long-lasting protection against solar radiation. It displays robust light stability & improves durability of the PET fabric. It also improves long-term thermal stability during service life and provides stable processing conditions during PET fiber spinning. Irgastab® IS 8201 shows excellent weathering performance. It enables lower dosage compared to conventional UV-absorber. It is tailored to provide good thermo-oxidative stability during processing. It exhibits strong absorbance in the 300-400 nm region and minimal absorbance in the visible region (> 400 nm). Recommended for outdoor PET yarns.
