Hostastat® FE 2 by Clariant is an anti-static agent based on renewable fatty acid ester which provides highly effective internal antistatic properties to thermoplastic polymers especially polypropylene. The antistatic effect is longer lasting compared to Hostastat® FE 1 but time to build up the effect is a bit longer. In combination with Hostastat® FA 14 it shows a well-balanced performance in terms of time to get the antistatic effect and durability of the effect. Hostastat® FE 2 is added to equalize and reduce static charges on polymers surfaces preventing undesired or hazardous effects caused by dust attraction, spark discharge, ink misting. During processing of filled or reinforced PP, it acts as a flow promoter. Minimum shelf life is 2 years.
