SPERSEBRIGHT OB by Interspersal is a heat resistant, solvent-soluble, optical brightener used to increase the whiteness and brightness of plastics and synthetic fibers. It has low volatility and excellent thermal stability. It is easier to dissolve and disperse. It can be used in combination with antioxidants and certain UV Stabilizers that absorb UV-B radiation. It is suitable for PVC (rigid and plasticized), polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane, and acrylics. SPERSEBRIGHT OB is also applicable in styrenic polymers and unsaturated polyester. It is FDA cleared for use in all polymers (refer to FDA 21 CFR §178.3297). The recommended dosage level for plastic and fiber is 50-1000 ppm and polyurethane foam is 1000-2500 ppm.
