Silquest™ Y-5997 Silane

Silquest™ Y-5997 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is silane, a coupling agent. Used as a crosslinking agent. Provides glass fiber protection. Improves strand integrity for better fiber processing and composite fabrication. Offers low VOC emissions and is reactive with a large number of resin systems, such as unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, acrylic, polybutylene and polyolefins. It is compatible with many typical glass fiber sizes and coating ingredients such as film formers, anti-static agents, surfactants, lubricants and other coupling agents. Improves hygrothermal aging properties of glass fiber and particulate filler-reinforced composites. Provides glass fiber protection.
