JADEWIN PI 819

JADEWIN PI 819 by Qingdao Jade New Material Technology is a bis(2,4,6-trimethylbenzoyl)-phenylphosphineoxide. Acts as a versatile photoinitiator. Exhibits outstanding curing at low concentrations. Is photosensitive at longer wavelengths above 400 nm, that makes it suitable for thick sections to reduce yellowing of urethane acrylate for outdoor applications (which are directly exposed to sunlight). It is used for radical polymerization of unsaturated resins upon exposure to UV light. Suited for white pigmented formulations, the curing of glass fiber reinforced polyester/styrene systems. Curing can be performed either using UV light, visible light (blue-green part of the spectrum) or even light from suitable laser devices, e.g. Ar-Laser (488nm) or FD-Nd/YAG-Laser (532nm). Best performance is obtained if oxygen is excluded from the resin system during curing. Listed in AICS, DSL, EINECS, IECSC, ENCS, NZloC, ECL, TSCA, PICCS.
