Sanitized® BC A 21-41

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Sanitized
Sanitized® BC A 21-41 is an antimicrobial additive based on a natural active ingredient in form of silver encapsulated in a patented glass ceramic material. The pure active ingredient has a strong effect against a large number of bacteria. Due to the small diameter of the particles the additive is especially suitable for use in coatings, films, synthetic fibers and monofilaments. For best performance and processability fibers should not be less than 3.3 dtex and not to be dyed by exhaustion. However, the additive can also be used in sheets, extruded and molded parts. Due to the high temperature resistance the additive is compatible in polymers processed at temperatures far beyond what organic active ingredients can resist. Substrates protected with Sanitized® BC A 21-41 are safe for man and environment. Sanitized® BC A 21-41 is supplied in powder form. It is EPA-registered, BPR-compliant and accepted for OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, classes I-IV. Approved for polymers with food contact (US FDA & EFSA). Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.6% to the total weight of the material to be protected.
