Polyglykol AM 250 by Clariant is a polyethylene glycol allyl methyl ether. It is low-viscous liquid ethoxylated, end capped with an allyl and a methyl group. It is hydrophilic, biodegradable and soluble in water. Offers relatively high heat resistance and low toxicity. Shows low sodium content, moderately enhances hydrophilicity and improves biocompatibility of silicones & polymers. Polyglykol AM 250 is used in hydrophilic modification of polymers. It is listed on EINECS, TSCA, AICS, DSL, PICCS, ENCS, SEPA and ASIA-PAC inventories.
