AQUACER®
Polymers additives supplied by BYK
AQUACER® products are polymer-in-water emulsions, specially designed for the manufacture of glass fiber sizing. The polymers used are MAH-grafted polypropylene or polyethylene. These products help improve temperature stability, silane resistance as well as FDA conformity and process adaptation of the products to improve the glass fiber properties along with the finished composite. These glass fibers are primarily used in the automotive industry as a replacement for metal to reduce weight, and for white goods such as washing machines, refrigerators and dishwashers. Some of the AQUACER® grades are also used as anti-caking additives for thermoplastics.
