Crystex™

Polymers additives supplied by Eastman

Eastman's Crystex™ is a family of insoluble sulfur additives. Crystex™ is a polymeric form of sulfur that is a non-blooming vulcanizing agent to improve the elasticity and strength of rubber. By being insoluble in rubber, Crystex™ prevents sulfur migration and, in turn, blooms which interfere with the tire building process. Their use is critical for the manufacture of quality radial tires.
