BYK-MAX AF 4160

BYK-MAX AF 4160 by BYK is a VOC-free, easy to handle, granulated, anti-fogging agent for use in polyolefins to increase the surface tension and transparency of films. It reduces the formation of water droplets on plastic surfaces and as a result, improves the transparency of the film enabling better growth of crops. It consists of non-sticking granules and is safe and easy to handle. It is dust free, has an inherent low toxicity and no environmental impact. Recommended for extruded (L)LDPE films & sheets and agricultural films. BYK-MAX AF 4160 is added via volumetric or gravimetric dosing units during processing in all extruders, blow molding and injection molding machines. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA and NZIoC, Directive 2011/65/EU (EU RoHS 2), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), Directive (EU) 2015/863 (EU RoHS 3), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste) and CONEG Toxics in packaging. The recommended level is 9% additive (as supplied) based upon the total formulation. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
