Zerogen® 100 SV

Zerogen® 100 SV by Huber Engineered Materials is a magnesium hydroxide (=99 % (untreated base)) grade. Acts as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant. Present as odorless white powder. It is a high chemical purity, ultrafine particle size product with proprietary surface treatment. The proprietary surface treatment improves smoke suppression efficiency of magnesium hydroxide and increases limiting oxygen index (LOI) of the EVA compound. As a result, lower magnesium hydroxide loading level can be used leading to enhanced rheological and processing performance, and improved compound mechanical properties. The surface treatment also promotes compatibility of the magnesium hydroxide with the polymer and high quality of dispersion. Provides excellent fire retarding and smoke suppression performance for thermoplastic and elastomeric compounds. Suitable for cable insulation materials and fire-rated EVA compounds. Zerogen® 100 SV complies with Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Inventory, Canada Domestic Substance List, Canada Non-Domestic Substance List and National Inventory of Chemical Substances (INSQ).
