Niax™ catalyst A-31

Niax™ catalyst A-31 by Momentive is a liquid, low-odor, water-soluble, tertiary amine composition for the production of flexible polyester polyurethane foam. Foams made with Niax™ catalyst A-31 exhibit significantly lower odor levels than those made with highly odorous conventional ester foam catalysts, such as N ethylmorpholine, N-methylmorpholine or dimethylbenzylamine. The emission of amine vapors in foam is reduced by a factor of 1000 when replacing N-ethylmorpholine with Niax catalyst A-31. Since it is a more active catalyst than N ethylmorpholine, N-methylmorpholine, or dimethyl benzylamine, it allows the use of much lower catalyst levels. Niax™ catalyst A-31 by Momentive has excellent processing characteristics, providing a smooth, consistent, rise profile. Used for flexible polyester polyurethane foam.
