Niax™ catalyst K-ZERO G

Niax™ catalyst K-ZERO G by Momentive is a new, potassium catalyst that may be considered for ues in the manufacture of polyisocyanurate rigid foam. In catalyst K-ZERO G the typical glycol solvent for the salt has been replaced by one non-reactive with MDI, therefore no isocyanate is consumed by the catalyst itself. Possesses good trimerization efficiency and smoother rise profile in polyisocianurate foams when compared to Potassium acetate. Has improved foam isotropy, increasing dimensional stability and compressive strength. Can be used either in formulated system or by direct metering, with viscosity lower than typical potassium octoate in DEG, facilitating pumping and handling. Comparable active content and moisture content of standard potassium octoate in glycol and can be used at substantially the same level potassium octoate.
