SILMAPROCESS AP1142A PLUS by Silma is a masterbatch of super-high molecular weight siloxane finely dispersed on polypropylene carrier for the use in PP/TPO/TPE compounds to improve scratch- and abrasion resistance. It can be used as a processing aid to improve stability and trough output of the compound during the extrusion, or injection molding to enhance the release & surface quality and reduce cycle time & torque. It exhibits high durability properties. It is suitable in SEBS compound for the production of shoe soles and ergonomic handgrips applications. It is also applicable in fields like filled talc or glass fibers, automotive interiors, electrical appliances, home & office furniture, building & construction, consumer goods. The recommended dosage level in the extrusion or injection molding process is 0.5-5%, in processing aid is 0.5-1.1% and in scratch & abrasion resistance is 1.5-4%, depends on the formulation and requirements. SILMAPROCESS AP1142A PLUS has a shelf life of one year.
