PEPTON® 44 RO

PEPTON® 44 RO by Thomas Swan is a peptizer based on 2,2' dibenzamido diphenyl disulphide blended with a synergistic activator and an inert carrier and organic dispersants.

It catalytically promotes molecular chain scission during mastication, thereby reducing mastication time and power consumption, giving lower production costs and increased production capacity.
Its peptizing action is inhibited by sulfur and the viscosity of compounded stocks is therefore stable on storage.
It is effective in mastication at 70°C and above and gives best performance at 150-160°C.
It is recommended to increase the efficiency of open or internal mixer mastication of natural rubber and unsaturated synthetic elastomers, where reduction of viscosity is desirable.
Its recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.5 phr for natural rubber and 1.5-3.0 phr for synthetic elastomers.
PEPTON® 44 RO has a shelf life of 48 months.
